Kayaking

Kayaking is an ancient mode of travel but today’s kayakers typically engage in this modern sport for leisure, exploration and adventure. One can only imagine the sights and sounds one will experience while paddling on one of our greater Yellowstone area rivers. The Guest Service staff at Teton Springs Lodge & Spa will gladly offer their recommendations and suggestions on the area’s best spots (and best kept secrets!) to drop your paddle. The most popular rivers in Teton County include Robinson Creek, Teton Creek, Bitch Creek, Fall River, Warm River, Henry’s Fork and the Teton River.

Kayaking the Snake and Teton Rivers

Twelve miles south of Jackson you’ll find the Hoback stretch of the Snake River which is one of the most accessible rivers in the Jackson Hole/Yellowstone region. There are several access points & patches of national forests & BLM land, which also provide convenient access. Look for Bighorn Sheep on the cliffs in Hoback Canyon! All these rivers are easily accessible from Teton Springs Lodge and paddlers will be treated to incredible scenery, beautiful water and summer daytime temps in the 80′s.
