To qualify, Teton Springs Lodge & Spa had to maintain an average rating of four or higher out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on TripAdvisor. Additional criteria include volume of reviews and how recently they have been submitted by travelers.
Top Resort In Idaho… Bringing Beauty, Adventure, and Relaxation Together
Teton Springs Lodge was rated "Top Resort in Idaho" based on guest reviews of 334 hotels/resorts in the Gem State. "This powerful endorsement from our resort guests is indeed humbling," said Jeff Naylor, General Manager for Teton Springs Lodge & Spa. "It’s an honor to receive this recognition from the people who matter the most, our guests. I’m proud to be associated with this property and I can’t say enough about our staff’s commitment to provide exemplary guest service every day," continued Naylor.
The TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence program gives exceptional businesses the recognition they deserve," said Christine Petersen, president of TripAdvisor for Business. Traveladvisor.com, founded in 2000, provides consumers with one-stop-shopping travel information on hotels, resorts, airlines, events, and activities to pursue in any particular destination worldwide.
The Number One Hotel In Idaho
Situated in the heart of Teton Valley, Teton Springs Lodge & Spa opened in December 2007. This year-round resort offers 52 casually elegant guest rooms and suites in the main lodge. Teton Springs also manages three-, four-, and five-bedroom mountain log homes situated on the award-winning Headwaters Golf Course. Teton Springs is the only resort in Eastern Idaho to offer its own luxury spa, golf club and onsite fly fishing to their summer guests with heli-skiing, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling in the winter. The private Headwater’s Club is an 18-hole course designed by the late Byron Nelson, Steve Jones and Gary Stephenson as well as a nine-hole Nelson short course and practice facility. The 5,000 square foot Stillwaters Spa & Salon, Headwaters Grille, Swim and Tennis Complex, and a 25-meter pool and Fitness Center, round out the resort’s facilities.
THE NEW YEAR IS ONE FILLED WITH HIGH ALTITUDE ADVENTURES IN THE GRANDEST OF THE NORTHERN ROCKY MOUNTAINS!
The United States Census figures were just released and it seems that our nation has experienced the slowest growth since the Great Depression. Lots of reasons for this I imagine, some obvious, some not. However, I wasn’t surprised to see that Idaho was one of only three states in the country that experienced more than 20% growth during the past decade. Wyoming, our great neighbor to the east, also posted a healthy growth of 10 to 20%. Can’t say I’m surprised. Who in their right mind wouldn’t want to live, and more importantly play, in this glorious Yellowstone-Teton region? Guess the secret is out.
Anyone who is a snow report junkie, like yours truly, knows that the Teton Mountains have been blessed this winter. No, that’s not all that unusual. This area usually tops the charts when it comes to total annual accumulation. We’re use to getting our hopes up that Thanksgiving will serve up delicious turns from summit to base in addition to that traditional turkey and pumpkin pie dinner. Getting the cob-webs out of our ski boots in November just means more precious time to savor the adventures that come in all flavors in our high elevation-cured powder. Now, is it any wonder that Idaho and Wyoming both experienced double digit growth in this year’s census?! Seems folks visit our area for that customized outdoor adventure and their next cell call is to the moving company.

Grand Targhee Resort opened their lifts early this year and just keeps cooking. At last glance their snow stake topped 220 inches thus far for the season. Somehow I don’t think hitting their annual 500 inches will be a problem. But now is bonus time for other reasons. Now that the holiday rush is over, visitors can really savor the quiet time, and on any given week day have the slopes virtually to themselves. You can literally get a feel what it means to be a “local” this time of year and save money to boot. Teton Springs Lodge & Spa offers a killer one night package with lodging in one of their deluxe hotel rooms, breakfast in the charming Headwaters Grille, and a lift ticket to this powder wonder for only $135 per person per night. On this package you can string as many nights together as you like and this offer is even valid during Martin Luther King and President’s holiday weekends. Why would you go anywhere else!
Hard to believe but there are other compelling reasons to stay at Teton Springs during the throes of winter season. Here’s one to note. Teton Valley Adventures will pick you up at the lodge and within minutes you’ll find yourself snowmobiling in some of Idaho’s most pristine and spectacular backcountry. Not a sled head – not to worry. There’s plenty of terrain well suited for the neophyte and that includes kids too. Their guides were born and raised in Teton Valley and know every inch of the luscious mountain terrain that awaits you. Talk about a Rocky Mountain high! A day trip to Yellowstone National Park is also on their agenda. There’s really no adequate way to describe how magnificent it is seeing the nation’s first national park when it’s under a blanket of white
For a more mellow day at Teton Springs Resort, strap on the cross country skis for an exhilarating spin around the groomed tract followed by a steam bath at the Stillwaters Spa & Salon. You’ll need some down time; tomorrow promises new discoveries. I can’t wait to see what the census brings next time around for Idaho & Wyoming! Will you be counted as one of our own?
THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS DREAM VACATION STARTS HERE IN VICTOR, IDAHO!
Holiday cheer, romantic log cabins, sleigh ride dinners, helicopters & powder snow. Sounds like the recipe for that perfect Christmas holiday?! Teton Springs Resort makes it easy! Simply put, the setting at Teton Springs Resort right now could easily be the cover of a Hallmark Christmas greeting, with the card recipient saying out loud, “where is this?” All of the magical ingredients are in place. Snow blankets the landscape for as far as the eye can see. We’re not talking a thin, early December covering here; each new storm seems to cough out copious amounts of the Teton fluff we’ve become accustomed to around here – just not this much so soon. The snow laden trees sparkle at night, seemingly winking back at the staggering amount of stars that fill the entire night sky here in Yellowstone-Teton country.
The award-winning Headwaters golf course, the anchor for Teton Springs Resort, lies hidden beneath this quilt of blinding white and creates the 780 acres of open space that seems to extend forever into the horizon. Cross-country skis now glide over the manicured fairways and you’ll fill your lungs with the purest of fresh air as you propel your skate skis around the resort’s pristine Nordic track. For those who would rather walk than ride, strap on a pair of snowshoes and follow our resident winter hare as he heads home, past the 9th hole and into the adjoining Caribou-Targhee National Forest.
Given all this early season snow in the Tetons and surrounding mountains, there could be just the optimum Christmas gift under the tree this year for the well-behaved (and much loved) skier or snowboarder in your life! Looks like High-Mountain Heli Skiing will start their engines and take to the skies early this season, weeks early in fact. You’ll barely have your gifts unwrapped. The secret is out that this prestigious Jackson Hole based heli ski institution has moved their operation, lock stock & barrel, over to Teton Springs Resort this year. Now you can rest your head in one of the Lodge’s very cool guestrooms and suites and wake to the sound of the chopper landing in the parking lot, just steps from your room. Sign me up Santa!
There’s a bunch of ways to do the heli ski thing. Book a three day package at Teton Springs which includes a day of heli skiing, as well as a warm-up session at Teton Valley’s Grand Targhee, easily the powder snow Mecca of the West. Or, simply book your day of heli skiing, snowmobiling, lodge accommodations, or cabin, a-la-carte. After all, you may want to take a day or two to check out the neighborhood (like a day of skiing at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort or snowmobiling in the Big Holes or a romantic dinner sleigh ride).
Mix and match plans are easily accommodated at Teton Springs Lodge & Spa. However, before you book anything, be sure to check out the luxury mountain cabins bordering this exquisite property; their extraordinary western décor could only be enhanced by a crackling fire, a well lit Christmas tree and enthusiastic carolers crowding the deck. These “cabins” are gorgeous.
Call the friendly guest services staff at Teton Springs Lodge & Spa. They’re experts at this stuff. They’ll also tell you how kids 12 and younger ski free at Targhee on one of Teton Springs many winter packages. And whatever you do, don’t forget the Stillwaters Spa and all the magic they perform; after a day of powder skiing you’ll relish that deep tissue massage, followed by a terrific meal in the warm and cozy Headwaters Grille.
Merry Christmas everyone from Teton Springs Lodge & Spa!
