LET THE FUN BEGIN AT TETON SPRINGS RESORT GET A JUMP START ON YOUR SUMMER ADVENTURES!

It’s a simple fact. You have to get an early start on summer adventures in this Yellowstone-Teton area if you want to sample even a slice of what’s out there. Some days it even borders on being a dilemma -what to do and then what to do next. It’s nice to have such problems. Memorial Day Weekend weather can be a mixed bag in the Tetons but this year for the most part we were treated to sunshine and nice spring temps.

A golf round at the Headwaters Club at Teton Springs once again was a glorious experience. The crew on this award-winning course should take a bow. It wasn’t too long ago that winter’s last remnants of snow filled the bunkers. These guys are good; the fairways are already bordering on lush and the greens smooth and true. And, it will only get better. The June issue of Golf Digest says it best, “Teton Springs Resort – near Jackson Hole – is a 27 hole stay-and-play nirvana highlighted by the Headwaters Golf Course in the Teton Valley, an immaculate voyage through the jaw-dropping beauty of the Teton Valley.”

The nice folks at Teton Springs Lodge & Spa must be giddy with spring fever because they just extended their incredible Stay & Play Package that’s always geared towards early, early season. It’s downright silly not to take advantage of their generosity because this deal is easily the best value in the region. The lodge website listing says it is indeed a thing of the past, but if you call Guest Services, they’ll let you slip in until about the 13th of June. They’ll also give you all the details; there’s other goodies on this vacation package menu besides the night in a luxurious lodge room and a round of golf on the world-class Headwaters Course. And, it’s only $105 per person. What’s to even think about?!

Stillwaters Spa Gets It’s Own Makeover!

The Stillwaters Spa & Salon hosted lots of happy clients last Friday. They unveiled their salon makeover to rave reviews. The salon now sports a 3 person pedicure station, 3 stylist chairs and two upgraded hair stations.

This is truly a beautifully appointed spa & salon and provides genuine personalized service, much needed pampering we all deserve, and top-of-the-line beauty & wellness products.

The Headwaters Grille is also pulling out all the stops to insure a fabulous summer season on the resort’s dining and entertainment front. Chef Jordan is flying in fresh seafood weekly and not sure how he’s going to top the seared wild Alaskan Halibut served last week – yum! The daily specials during their 5-7 p.m. Happy Hour provide the perfect atmosphere to meet with friends and swap stories about that “almost” subpar round.

And, these guys at the Headwaters Grille are literally giving you a third weekend night so to speak with their “Mulligan Mondays” every week. Now thru the end of September on the Grille patio there’s free music, food and beverage specials, great tunes, and the best seats in the house for taking in the surrounding scenery, great tunes and those glorious western sky sunsets. The Headwaters is now open daily for breakfast, lunch & dinner.

With the warm temps of late, the spring run-off is in full throttle. The Henry’s Fork is bursting with salmon flies and fishing reports from this Yellowstone-Teton area can literally make any fly fisherman salivate. The Fly fishing guides are ready to take you down the Snake River and catch a few lunkers! Soon there will be choices galore as we can look forward to conditions getting red hot on all of our local rivers any day now.

And golf isn’t the only sport at Teton Springs getting rave national reviews! Teton Springs was just mentioned in an article about Fly-Fishing in Teton Valley in the May issue of Bon Appétit Magazine. Outside Magazine also chimed in recently with a piece on our very own and glorious Idaho side of the Tetons.

Call now to book your Stay & Play Package, take a dip in the heated 25 meter pool, cast a line on the private ponds, eat like a king and be treated like royalty in the Stillwaters Spa & Salon. Sounds like a dream getaway to me!

WE BASICALLY SKIPPED SPRING THIS YEAR IN TETON VALLEY LOVE GETTING AN EARLY JUMP ON SUMMER FUN!

I’m not delusional enough to think there won’t be some spring like days in Teton Valley over the next few weeks. However, there is no disputing that for the past two weeks plus, the typical cool, unsettled spring weather has alluded us and we’ve traded the unpredictable for the sublime with temps consistently reaching the high 70′s in this gorgeous Yellowstone-Teton region.

But who’s complaining?! I feel like we’ve totally cheated the weather gods with this pre Memorial Day head start on bike riding, golfing, hiking and fishing. Ah, especially the golf.

The Headwaters Course at Teton Springs opened weeks ahead of schedule and you would swear it was June given the quality of the fairways and greens. So, put away any trepidations you may have had about booking an early season “Stay & Play” Package at the Teton Springs Lodge & Spa. And, the weather isn’t the only thing perfect about this 2013 spring season. The year’s lowest rates for a night in the lodge and a day of golf on the award-winning Headwaters course make for a perfect getaway with money to spare.

The weather also proves perfect for dinner on the Headwaters Grille patio (Thurs-Sat 5-9 & soon to be expanded to 7 nights a week) and Chef Jordan is flying more seafood in every day! The Grille opens for lunch 7 days a week starting Saturday the 18th and the menu options look terrific for that apre golf Teton Waters Ranch Hot Dog and/or Happy Hour specials from 5-7.

There’s also time to shake off the winter cobwebs with a most affordable “Spring Into The Spa” spring get-away packages at the Stillwaters Spa & Salon. How terrific would a massage and a night in a luxurious lodge room feel after days of working in the yard and other post winter clean up duties.

Makeovers are a specialty at this delightful facility and these folks are about to unveil a makeover of their own. They’re showing off Salon renovations with a Open House on Friday May 25. It’s worth repeating, this is the perfect time to book those resort golf and spa packages!

In addition to all the fun stuff to do at Teton Springs, it’s also the optimum time to check out the neighborhood, starting with the City of Victor. While this charming downtown area may be limited to a few blocks, there’s plenty of reasons to stop and explore. If you’re hungry, I’d head straight to the The Brakeman American Grill for what could easily be the best (and biggest) burger of your life – no exaggeration, no kidding. There’s other things on the menu but why bother?! Joe cooks everything to order so don’t expect fast food. The french fries are hand cut from Idaho spuds and my only complaint here -there’s just too many of them – and you will eat every last one, served with their own secret fry sauce. Yum!

Hope you save room after your burger for a stop at the Victor Emporium for a world famous huckleberry milkshake. This friendly & eclectic store comes equipped with its own old fashioned soda fountain and the Emporium’s reputation attracts visitors from everywhere imaginable. While, even a President or two has graced its doors!

After all this great food, it may be time for a bike ride! Teton Springs Lodge & Spa has a great partner in Victor that can set you up with any ride under the Teton sun, and on the right bike just for you. The staff at Fitzgeralds are the local experts in anything to do with both the hard core mountain biking scene or for those looking to simply cruise the bike path with kids in tow. And, don’t miss their big spring sale going on now.

As you cruise through Victor, you can’t help but notice the drift boats loaded and headed to the area’s rivers. There’s good reason the local fly fishing guides are wearing smiles as wide as the valley floor these day. So, when you call to ask about the current spa and golf specials, make sure to also inquire about fishing packages. After all, even though it’s only mid May, it’s already that time of year!

Fly Rods and Golf Clubs – Spring is in the air and so are the deals!

O.K. we have finally hung up the boards for the season. Granted, some local residents are so distraught over the ski season being over they can barely get out of bed in the morning. But for many of us at Teton Springs Resort, seeing the signs of spring everywhere is something to truly celebrate; we couldn’t be happier. Mother geese on our property have taken over their familiar birthing spots and any day now some of us will actually see the sweetest neon green (or are they actually yellow?) goslings follow mom, flee the nest and head for more secure cover. The hawks are flying with wild abandon and grass is feverishly pushing up thru the water enriched ground. Ah spring.

Fly Fishing In Idaho and Wyoming – Best in the US

One of the best things about visiting Teton Valley is you can fish all year long. There’s always a regional river open, or sections at least, and some of the best trout catching days are when you’re forced to wear funny looking gloves with the fingers poking thru. However, spending time on the water is always worth the effort no matter what time of year. Fly fishing is virtually the only sport I know of that when you’re fly fishing, all you think about is fly fishing. Talk about a true reprieves from the “real” world. That said, I believe it’s critical that everyone learn to fly fish for their own mental health.

The best thing about booking a stay at Teton Springs this time of year is you practically have the rivers all to yourself and we know the fish are always feeding on something. The nice folks at Teton Springs will set you up in a deluxe lodge room, or suite, at some crazy spring rate and will even share the scoop on which bugs are feeding on the Teton or South Fork of the Snake. You’ll reach the Teton before your morning cup of coffee is gulped and the Fly Fishing on the South Fork of the Snake River is of course legendary among fly fishermen everywhere. It’s big water, filled with even bigger fish. Always best to take an expert guide along for this ride. But hey, don’t take my word for it, check out the video!

The Guest Service staff at Teton Springs will also tell you about the incredible Spring offer for accommodations and a guided fishing trip on the world famous Henry’s Fork where the bug of choice will be the coveted salmon fly. The price is amazing, and remember, you won’t find this doozy offer on their web site web but you can check out the digs.

Simply Put – A Beautiful Golf Course in the Teton Valley

Golf is the other sport that many of us live for and news that the Headwaters Club at Teton Springs is opening April 25th is music to our ears. Another year when the clubs come out of the bag early at Headwaters; you gotta love it! I know anxious guests do; they’ve been calling for weeks to book the Spring Stay & Stay Package. Who could blame them; there’s never a more affordable time to play Headwaters, which in my humble opinion, is the best golf course in all of eastern Idaho.

If a summer trip to Teton Valley is more in order for your next vacation, don’t worry, the fishing only gets better with each passing day. We’ll be sure to leave a few of the big browns for ya!

What off Season? Birdies on Headwaters Course & monster trout on the Henry’s Fork!

Some folks may refer to this time of year as the “off season.” Most of the regional ski resorts have closed or are getting pretty close to hitting the off switch. The ever present shuttle buses carting anxious skiers from Jackson Hole to Teton Valley are mothballed until the snow flies again next winter.

There’s still plenty of snow at Grand Targhee, but of late it’s the buffed out groomed runs and high altitude deck parties filled with music and the aroma of sizzling burgers that are the main attraction.

The days of the heavenly powder face shots are more or less behind us.

Golfing the 18 Hole Award Winning Course – Golfing Stay and Play Packages

Who cares what’s behind us; it’s what’s ahead that is always the most exciting and now we’re talking golf & fishing. Oh boy! That’s why there’s no such thing as “off season” at Teton Springs Resort. The Headwaters Golf Club maintenance crew is out in full force evaluating just how quickly they can set up the tee boxes on this 18 hole award-winning course. The opening of the Byron Nelson short course at Teton Springs will happen even sooner.

The privilege to play both of these private courses, at a discounted rate I may add, are yours for the taking when you book hotel and golf packages at Teton Springs Lodge & Spa.

That’s always the case at this most gracious resort. But this spring they’ve gone crazy -they have a special that’s the absolute best offer of the season and includes a night in their deluxe lodge room, and a day of golf, plus…… plus……..

Check it out; it’s valid from May 1 – May 25. So dust off the sticks; that’s right around the corner, check out our wonderful Spring Packages for Golfing!

Relax at the Stillwaters Spa and Salon

April is also bonus month at the resort’s Stillwaters Spa & Salon and the “90 for 60″ is back. Book a 60 minute massage and they massage those winter weary bones an extra 30 minutes for free!

Fly Fishing – Waders – Good Times with Friends

Pteronarcys you say… That means one thing, salmon fly, and BIG TROUT LOVE SALMON FLIES!

The other reason you gotta love the not so off “off-season,” is the chance to plant your feet firmly in the waders once again. The folks at Teton Springs have been booking summer fishing packages for months; the serious anglers are always too anxious to wait.

Now there’s a new offering on the table, fly fishing trips to the world renowned Henry’s Fork for the coveted salmon fly hatch.

These guided fly fishing trips with Teton Springs Lodge partner WorldCast are happening May 1 thru May 31. Grab a bunch of buddies and head to Idaho but you’ll need to call Teton Springs Guest Services to book this one. This package is even too hot for the web!

Tough to Leave Teton Valley for Spring Break When the Lifts Still Turn Round and Round! I took a cruise once many moons ago. It was a family celebration for my dad’s 70th birthday and it was a short jaunt of three nights on the ocean. That was plenty. I had a blast with my dad and siblings but it seemed like waiting for the next extraordinary buffet was the daily highlight. My friends have since tried to entice me over the years to book a longer spring break trip on one of the newer and massive cruise ships. I’ve never taken the bait, for a variety of reasons.

I’m not knocking the cruise vacation per se as most are probably magnificent journeys with exotic warm weather beachy places thrown in. Just not for me. My key concern is the fact that these floating cities seem to break down, a lot, leaving the huddled masses hungry, thirsty and frustrated. Not to mention floating aimlessly at sea sometimes for days on end. Or, maybe you get lucky and you don’t suffer mechanical difficulties, just lower GI ones, from some intestinal super bug that at the speed of sound takes passengers and crew hostage.

Spring Break in the Teton Valley

Springs break at Teton Springs Lodge & Spa is definitely the best option for the winter sports enthusiast dedicated to squeezing in a few more quality days on the snow.

After all, Grand Targhee will accommodate this need for carving perfect turns on pristine and freshly groomed slopes deep into April. And, it’s no coincidence that Teton Springs Lodge & Spa is offering a FREE night when you book two over Spring Break. Why this generous offer when this boutique property is already so popular in all seasons? Well, they know from personal experience that a few days of spring skiing in the Tetons just never prove to be enough, and, the folks at Teton Springs are simply experts at wanting to spoil their guests, check out our Winter stay and play packages. Guess that’s why their visitor ratings on TripAdvisor.com are always so sky high and the lodge was recently voted "The Best Hotel in Idaho" for the second straight year!

Luxurious Mountain Log Homes – Skiing & Lodge Vacation

Their generosity doesn’t limit you to the lodge & suites on this deal, the luxurious mountain log homes are also included in this offer. If this getaway needs to be a quick trip, there’s always the one night lodge & ski combo at the Lodge with a gourmet breakfast basket delivered to your room.

There’s also a myriad of backcountry terrain in this neighborhood if an early morning trek at sunrise with the Tetons in full view is your thing for spring or, a warm afternoon jaunt in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest when the rising temps transform the bowls and glades into a corn snow fest.

Relaxing at the Stillwaters Spa & Salon

There’s no doubt, a spring skiing vacation is so much more civilized. Most days in late March & April, it’s best to sleep in, enjoy a light breakfast and let the staff at the Stillwaters Spa & Salon work their magic with a Deep Tissue Massage and/or a treatment designed to sooth & lubricate dry winter skin. There’s rush in hitting the slopes early this time of year, unless it’s a powder day of course.

Normally as old man winter relaxes his grip, you’ll want to wait until the high altitude snow softens under the Rocky Mountain sun and your boards glide effortlessly over the vast collection of runs on Targhee’s two mountains.

Spring Skiing and Eating Well

Spring skiing also means leaving the down-filled parka behind; this is vest wearing weather with tall cold beverages savored on the deck at cocktail time. You’ll arrive back at Teton Springs in time for the dinner bell (winter hours – Thurs thru Sunday 5:00-9:30).

The Headwaters Grille at Teton Springs Resort is serving up some scrumptious dishes from their new menu and they’ll start you off with Chef Jordan’s amazing crab cakes or classic Calamari. If you’re around at the end of March, the Headwaters Grille is serving their famous Easter Brunch. Make those reservations early; this is easily of one the most beautiful locations in Teton Valley to celebrate Easter Sunday (208.787.8130).

So, grab some friends and head for the hills. Unlike a cruise to the islands, you’ll never get seasick on this spring break adventure!

March in Teton Valley, Idaho – In Like a Lion, Out Like a Bigger Lion! Here in Teton Valley we rarely experience a March that fits the saying, “In like a lion, out like a lamb.” Thank goodness. The month of March in this Yellowstone-Teton territory is usually just more of the same as the months preceding it, powder days followed by even bigger powder days. However, this isn’t the norm. Most people in the great U.S. of A. celebrate the end of winter, and view this change of seasons as a time to finally get outdoors again.

There’s no doubt spring is rejuvenating – to feel the warmth of the sun on our face, watch the buds start to appear on trees, and temperatures heading in the right direction to warm winter-weary chilled bones. These same people pray that if March does indeed arrive with a roar that by the end of the month, winter is simply a distant memory.

But here in eastern Idaho, suffice to say there is definitely a genuine disdain for the arrival of spring. It’s generally accepted that in the year 2013, the waning days of winter are over and the start of spring officially begins March 20th. Official or not, die hard skiers and snowboarders in Teton Valley have the confidence in knowing Mother Nature doesn’t recognize, and certainly doesn’t respect, for what should happen with the onset of spring.

So Many Fun Winter Activities in the Teton Valley

Shifting sunlight is normally the criteria for when the beginning of spring is designated. Ah, light, it is the one component that local residents and visitors to Teton Valley alike embrace who cherish all things winter, like skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and backcountry adventures. In the Teton Mountains, spring simply means longer days, and thus, more play time.

Safe to say most Idaho resorts can’t touch the terrific winter vacation packages that Teton Springs Lodge & Spa offers. For example, lodging in their deluxe hotel and snowcat excursions at Grand Targhee.

Thank goodness Targhee had the vision back in the late 1980′s to take a huge chunk of their most pristine mountain terrain and set it aside as a private reserve for skiers and snowboarders hungry for an affordable & quality knee deep powder snow experience. Granted, Targhee had the unique luxury of owning (well, Forest Service Use Permits in this case but that’s practically like owning) two distinct mountains in Wyoming’s iconic Teton Mountains. So, the Wyoming cowboys in charge of this unassuming and totally charming destination resort created the ultimate slice of heaven on Peaked Mountain reserved just for the cats.

They also left plenty of lift served acreage to go around. As the sun is illuminating the Wyoming sky over Targhee’s quant village, anxious skiers and snowboarders board the
snowcats and chug up to the summit of Peaked Mountain. On a clear day, the Tetons are in full view and the
vistas are staggering. That alone is worth the price of admission.

The Place to Stay While Skiing Targhee or the Teton Village

Teton Springs also offers the option of traveling a short distance across Teton Pass for a day of sliding at the Jackson Hole ski area. Or, stay put at Teton Springs; there’s Nordic skiing and snowshoeing right outside your lodge door. Simply put, there’s no other resort destination in the lower 48 that offers the variety of unique ski and stay packages and other year-round adventures than what this charming boutique hotel offers. For that dynamic spring fling and some nice spring getaway packages, the best option going is their stay two nights and the third night is FREE, in any and all resort accommodations.

Welcome to Yellowstone-Teton territory, home to easily the best skiing and snowboarding and family ski vacations in North America. Spring can wait.

Skiing Knee Deep Powder with Blue Skies in the Teton Mountains let’s hope this isn’t just a dream!

News of the recent epic snowstorm in New England, and the destructive aftermath, has really been monopolizing the airwaves lately. This latest weather episode to rock the northeast was significant, no doubt about it. However, it always makes me smile when the national news covers this stuff for days on end. Here in the Tetons, an overnight storm dropping 24" of what the locals call "white gold" barely causes a stir. Of course, Teton Valley doesn’t in any shape or form resemble Boston Massachusetts or, any other American city for that major.

One obvious distinction that separates this relatively tiny hamlet of Teton Valley, Idaho, from anywhere USA, is the fact that heli skiing packages are available at Teton Springs Lodge & Spa, which sits nestled off Highway 33 in the south end of the valley. This boutique hotel is the centerpiece of the Teton Springs Resort and offers year-round visitors amazing activities. Winter guests delight in the hotels varied mix-and-match ski and stay packages, including the grand poobah of ski packages – that of heli skiing.

If a day of glorious turns in knee-deep powder, with deep blue skies overhead, mind-blowing Teton Mountain scenery and no lift lines appeals to your sensibilities, then heli skiing should indeed be on the agenda. High Mountain Hel Ski is the premier (and only) heli ski operator in the Tetons and Teton Springs couldn’t ask for a better partner in taking to the skies.

If a family ski vacation is on the docket, perhaps it’s a spring break trip. Teton Springs Lodge & Spa specializes in winter family vacations. The three, four and five bedroom mountain log cabins are luxurious in every way.

Guests are always pleasantly surprised just how affordable these places truly are, especially when they step foot into of these buffed-out cabins. Each home is unique, has literally everything you could possibly need, and more. They’re simply perfect for the family, and, roomy enough that friends can join the party too!

Teton Springs also lists Grand Targhee Resort as a partner in winter recreation, and, the last time I checked the measured snow depth at Targhee was the deepest of any area in the entire country. Not unusual for this Teton valley snow Mecca; they always post the big numbers!

There’s still plenty of time and winter left to book family ski packages to Teton Springs, with deals that include a complimentary night in the lodge, or in one of the sweet log cabins.

There’s Nordic skiing on the resort’s track, door-to-door guided snowmobile trips to Yellowstone National Park, snowshoe treks into the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. That’s just for starters. There are many Winter family activities in the Teton Valley and close by.

The atmosphere is homey and relaxed the staff genuine and this entire property screams quality. Guess that explains why Teton Springs Lodge & Spa was recently named the "Best Hotel in Idaho" by U.S. News & World Report for the second straight year. The final decision after reviewing over 2,000 luxury hotels in the United States was made by travel industry leaders and hotel guests. There’s no doubt these guys got it right – you be the judge.

It’s finally official for Barack Obama. Our 44th president was sworn in once again as leader of the free world officially on Sunday, January 20th, and for the masses, January 21st was the show. What a relief after what seemed like an eternity of having to sit through endless political commercials & commentary filling the airways and invading our homes on a daily basis. However, the president’s inauguration, despite what side of the fence one sits on politically, stirs emotions in all of us for a variety of reasons. The pageantry of an inauguration is such a rich testament to our American heritage, and throughout the televised celebration, the strength of our nation was evident for everyone in the world to see. The process is comforting in so many aspects.

Now it’s time to celebrate two of our other famous presidents, the nation’s original super heroes, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. These two icons of American history are honored on the third Monday of every February. It’s simply called “Presidents’ Day,” and for most it simply means a welcomed three-day weekend compliments of the federal government. For retailers, this has become a tried & true three-day sale extravaganza, but for winter sports enthusiasts, Presidents ‘ Day has come to symbolize the perfect time to take that mini family ski vacation.

CELEBRATE WITH A FREE NIGHT’S LODGING!

Idaho resorts, especially the resorts specializing in ski and stay packages, like Teton Springs Lodge & Spa, also pays appropriate homage to commemorate these great men of history. What better way than to reward visitors with a FREE night in a lodge room, one or two bedroom decked out suite or even one of their super deluxe cabins?! All you need to qualify for this special version of a “white sale” is book three nights between February 14-28 and the lodge generously throws in the 4th night free. Personally, I love hassle free offers like this, where the deal is genuine, easy to understand, and it’s something I actually need.

Whew, the holidays are finally over. The hangovers from too much shopping, too much food and too much libation are well behind us. Now we can settle down to the real business at hand, getting back to playtime in the mountains. The folks in Teton Valley, Idaho truly know how to embrace winter. Yessiree, the hearty locals in this Yellowstone-Teton community never wince when the weather forecast calls for yet another foot of new snow overnight.

They simply zip up their parkas, lace up their boots, fire up their snow blowers, and get busy. When the driveway is cleared they inevitably put a call into their employers, invoke their powder clause (always negotiated at time of hiring), and head out to the slopes.

It’s easy passage to two of the local and premium ski and snowboard resorts in North America, Grand Targhee or Jackson Hole ski area where once again the snow numbers are huge, just like the mountains. Ho-hum, it seems that almost every day is just another powder filled day in the glorious Tetons. But, something else is about to happen in this neck of the woods. A big celebration is on the horizon and Teton Valley is humming with anticipation.

The local Chamber of Commerce and other valley nonprofit organizations in the picturesque towns of Victor, Driggs, Tetonia and Alta are busier than the Christmas elves were just a few short weeks ago. Valley wide, volunteers are putting all systems in place to welcome residents and visitors alike to join in the valley’s biggest winter extravaganza. “The Second Annual Great SnowFest” is coming to town January 18-21. The diverse laundry list of activities scheduled all pay homage in their own way to the snow gods that bless this place year after year. So, it’s definitely smart to plan that family ski vacation during this valley wide event.

A sample of what festival goers will be treated to: snow sculpting, luge demonstrations, winter wildlife ski tours, snowshoe & snow bike races and my personal favorite, skijoring. Visitors will be stepping into the Cowboy State as well for the festivities and outsiders often ask; how can one event logically be held in two different states? It’s the same question staff at Teton Springs Lodge & Spa often get asked about resort partner Grand Targhee, “where exactly is this powder Mecca, Idaho or Wyoming?”

O.K. so a small geographic technicality does indeed put Grand Targhee snugly tucked inside Wyoming’s western border. However, Targhee was officially adopted as one of their own by the State of Idaho years ago (Targhee’s sole access is through Teton Valley, Idaho). It was the smartest thing the Gem State has ever done, other than doing the potato growing thing of course. Targhee has unquestionably become one of the Idaho resorts worth having in the stable and undoubtedly one of its brightest stars.

Teton Springs Lodge & Spa is offering special rates during the Snow Fest which also magically happens to coincide with Martin Luther King weekend. Holiday or no holiday, there are no restrictions on the Lodge’s Ski and Stay Packages during this time so the entire weekend prospects just got better!

Book your winter family vacation at Teton Springs Lodge & Spa where the accommodations are deluxe, cozy, and affordable. Every visit you’ll discover something new to do and you’ll be delighted with the resort’s western charm and hospitality.

Teton Valley, home to some of the world’s most spectacular scenery and snow, and now, the Great Snow Fest. Why would you go anywhere else?
